Practical methods for quality assurance in customized office furniture
1. Preliminary material selection and control to build quality from the source
The main material standards are approved to clarify the plate grade, environmental protection parameters, and thickness specifications, and priority is given to E0/ENF grade base materials; the material standards for desktops, cabinets, and backboards are distinguished, and it is prohibited to use thin materials to make them thicker or to replace materials with inferior materials.
Accessories are graded to lock the fixed hardware brand model and load-bearing level. Slide rails, hinges, casters, and connectors are all standard. Leather, fabric, glass, and metal profiles have agreed thickness and wear-resistant and flame-retardant indicators.
Seal the material samples, veneer, color swatches, fabrics, and hardware samples for comparison and verification throughout the subsequent production and acceptance process.
2. Rigorous review of drawings and plans
Multi-dimensional drawings will be reviewed and cross-checked on renderings, structural construction drawings, and dimensional cutting drawings to verify the rationality of load-bearing structures, splicing nodes, and wiring openings to avoid inherent design flaws.
Load and safety calculations focus on checking the load-bearing design of the executive desk, lockers, and shelves to avoid potential risks of deformation and collapse.
A written change order will be issued for all changes in the size, material, and process adjustment of the written documentation. Verbal modifications will not be put into production.
3. Full process control of the production process
Office furniture customization factories standardize and unify cutting, edge sealing, punching, painting, and assembly processes to clarify tolerance ranges and reduce processing errors.
Segmented process quality inspection: cutting, forming, painting, and assembly. Each process is self-inspected. Unqualified semi-finished products are strictly prohibited from flowing into the next link.
Special personnel can be arranged to inspect the key processes on-site for large-volume orders to strictly check for material theft, process reduction, and process shrinkage.
4. Sample confirmation mechanism in advance
For first-piece proofing and verification, a sample is first made to check the appearance, size, color difference, firmness, and feel of use, and then mass production is carried out after confirmation.
Samples are kept and compared with qualified samples and sealed as the only reference for mass production and arrival acceptance.
5. Sectional acceptance of arrival and installation
Upon arrival, the initial unpacking inspection will check the appearance of bumps, color differences, deformation, damaged panels, and missing accessories. Problematic parts will be directly rejected and returned to the factory.
During the installation process, check the splicing gaps, cabinet door opening and closing, drawer push-pull, table and chair stability, mute effect, and tightness.
After the completion of the project, the actual measured dimensions, flatness, verticality, load-bearing, wiring, lifting and other functions will be tested, and each item will be signed for confirmation.
6. Contracts and binding rights and responsibilities
Quality terms agreed in writing specify material standards, environmental protection levels, process requirements, warranty years, damage compensation, and rework responsibilities.
Clarify the acceptance standards and objection deadlines, define the allowable errors in appearance, function, and size, and define the handling methods for overdue quality problems.
The remaining balance of the reserved warranty is paid in batches according to acceptance and warranty nodes, and the payment is used to control delivery and after-sales quality.
7. Long-term after-sales maintenance guarantee
Establish product files to record materials, accessories, production batches, and maintenance points to facilitate later maintenance and replacement.
It is agreed that repairs should be promptly carried out in response to time-sensitive faults, and loose, abnormal noise, and damaged parts should be replaced and repaired in a timely manner.
Spare parts store commonly used hardware and wearing parts in stock to shorten the maintenance cycle and maintain normal office use.
